Community Space Sign at the Library
Fall 2025
Location: Hulbert Library of the Town of Concord in Springville, NY
Hulbert Library had just finished up this amazing project to create a community space in front of the library that had previously been taken up by landscaping. The newly transformed area includes picnic tables, chairs, a stage and native plants. Jennifer, the head librarian, reached out to me asking if we could create a sign to make the space feel welcoming for everyone and express thanks to everyone who made the space possible. They liked the idea of having a tree as the central element. After sketching and refining, we came to a final design! Originally, it had been the plan to print the sign but all the options for something at that size were cost-prohibitive so at the last minute we decided, why don't I just actually paint it?
